We have been operating systematic support projects for the growth and welfare enhancement of children with rare/incurable diseases. Also, we are using our expertise to develop a variety of donation activities.
We support the medical expenses for children who are 18 years old or younger and are suffering from rare/incurable diseases. Through this, in the past 10 years, we supported a total of 13 billion KRW in medical expenses for 260 children suffering from rare/ incurable diseases.
We developed a scholarship program to support children with rare/ incurable diseases and help them with tuition, certification, acquisition expenses, etc., so they can continue to study whatever they wish and become independent.
In 2007, we established the ‘Sound of Hope’ choir composed of children suffering from rare/incurable diseases. By singing alongside friends who are also suffering from similar diseases, they can find emotional stability, and they will also be instilled with the hope and courage that they can become healthy.
Through utilizing the characteristics of the construction industry, we are able to improve the living environment through insulation, bathroom and kitchen remodeling, etc. for low-income families and child welfare institutions.
By leveraging the professionalism of landscaping work, we contribute to increase the value of Korea’s cultural assets. We are preventing pests causing harm to the trees at Changdeokgung, Deoksugung etc., while also creating a wildflower garden.
We are providing the Animal Love Fund for endangered animals such as the Korean tiger, polar bears, etc. We visited the Cheorwon habitat to protect cranes, a natural treasure of Republic of Korea, and also conducted feeding and environment purification activities.
We conduct ongoing environment purification activities such as removing dirt from rivers of communities near our business sites. In particular, every March, 100 employees from our resort division conduct purification activities in the Jeondaeri region near our business site and Gisilcheon.
Through our employee volunteer team, we engage in livelihood support activities for people in need in the local community including children, elderly, the disabled, etc…. Also, through our company’s social media channel, we are proceeding with the ‘Sharing Love through Briquettes Campaign’, where we donate 1 briquette per click. Since 2012, we have been delivering over 10 million briquettes per year.
To promote balanced development between urban and rural communities, we held an agricultural market and helped during the busy farming season through twinning sister towns including Baengno village in Hoengseong, Gangwon-do, Bahoe village in Hongcheon, and Shinhong. Waryong villages in Haenam, Jeollanam-do.
Since 1999, we are operating ‘Plus Happiness Fund’ consisting of voluntary participation of our employees. It operates in the form of matching grant, every month, employees donate portion of the paycheck as much as they want to ‘Plus Happiness Fund’ and the company matches same amount of employees donations to help livelihood and independent of our neighbors in need.
